Store Policies

 

Hello, and welcome to Lakeview Vision. We are so excited to be a go-to source for all your vision needs. In an effort to ensure your satisfaction with our products and services while in our care, please take a moment to review our store policies.


Return Policy

As a business, we strive to provide high-quality products and services to our valued customers. We want to take this opportunity to inform you of our Return Policy to ensure clarity of our business practices.

  1. Customization of Products: Sunglasses, eyeglass frames, and lenses are customized or personalized based on your specific measurements or required adjustments. As such, we are unable to offer returns on purchased products.
  2. Consumable Products: We sell eye drops and other eye health products which are sealed and have expiry dates. Due to the nature of these products returns are not accepted as they can not be resold or reused.
  3. Services Rendered: Services including, but not limited to, eye examinations, contact lens fitting and training, in-house or 3rd party repairs, are all non-refundable.
  4. Exchanges: We recognise the challenge of ensuring complete adaptation to a prescription, frame, or lens design. Therefore, we do allow for a one-time exchange, at the discretion of the Optometrist or Optician, after all possible solutions are considered.
  5. Exception: After all possible solutions have been exhausted and a return is approved by the Optometrist or Optician for frame or lens, the customer can expect to pay a restocking fee of $150. 

We appreciate your understanding of our Return Policy, which allows us to maintain the high quality of our products and services, and keep our business sustainable.


No Show and Cancellation 

We kindly request 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling appointments. More than two missed appointments with no notice, will require a credit card number on file to book. In the event the next appointment is missed with no notice, a $50 charge will be processed.


Payments

All payments for products are due in full and up front. For complete pairs of prescription glasses we allow a 50% deposit to begin the process, the remaining balance is due at pick-up. Payments for eye exams are collected at the end of the exam. Costs may change considering any additional diagnostic testing or insurance coverage. We accept Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We do not accept cheques, prepaid credit cards, or e-transfers.


Insurance Direct Billing

We are able to direct-bill some insurance companies through Telus Health, Sun Life, Blue Cross, or GreenShield online portals. We can not always verify eligible coverage from your insurance and encourage you to check with your insurance provider or your insurance phone app. Any insurance information provided to us for billing is explicit consent by the patient for us to try and bill your insurance provider for products and services from our clinic. In any event where the stated amount paid by the insurance to the clinic is reduced or denied at a later date, the remaining balance is due within 30 days.


Pets in the Clinic

We recognise the community of Humber Bay Shores is a popular area for dog owners. Therefore, we will allow them into the front dispensary area of the clinic with the understanding that the dog must remain calm and not bark. The owner is responsible for any mess or damage as a result of the pet entering the office. At no time are any animals allowed past the front desk and into the examination area, the exception to this is Trained Service Dogs. We reserve the right to ask you to remove your pet from the premises.


Refusal of Service

Our mission for Lakeview Vision is to be a positive and inclusive space for all people in our community to access high quality eyecare. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who displays disruptive or abusive behavior towards our staff or other patients and customers.
